Bereavement Clearance Drimnagh
Clearing a family home in Drimnagh after a death, at the pace that suits the family. Nothing is rushed and nothing is thrown out without asking.
We clear homes in Drimnagh after a bereavement for families who live locally and for those who live abroad and cannot easily get back. Photographs, documents and anything that looks like it mattered are put aside for you either way.
Drimnagh is in the Dublin City area, about 4.5 km south-west of the city centre. Krystal Klean Express Limited holds Waste Collection Permit No. NWCPO-25-13287-01 issued by the NWCPO and is fully insured, including public liability — details we are happy to send to a solicitor for the estate file.

No pressure, no timetable
Some families in Drimnagh want the house cleared within a fortnight; others need months. Neither is wrong and neither costs more. We work to your date, and we can stop mid-job if it becomes too much for a day.
Our approach
Two things matter most in this work: care and pace. Care means opening boxes instead of assuming, and setting aside anything personal for the family. Pace means the job happens when you are ready — some families in Drimnagh want it done in a single day, others want the house cleared a room at a time over a few weeks. Both are fine, and neither costs more per hour than the other.
Homes we clear in Drimnagh
A family home in Drimnagh usually means a full property: the house, the attic where nothing has been touched in years, the garage, and often a shed. We plan the whole property as one job so the family is not left with the awkward parts.
What we watch for
Money and documents turn up in odd places in older homes: taped inside presses, in book pages, in coat pockets, under drawer liners. We check as we go and anything we find comes straight to the family. Tell us in advance if something specific is missing — a ring, a policy document, a set of deeds — and we will keep an eye out for it.
Timing around probate
There is rarely a rush from our side. If the house in Drimnagh is being sold, the estate agent usually wants it empty before photographs; if it is a rented property, the landlord or the local authority will set the handback date. Give us whichever deadline applies and we will work back from it.
Donations and reuse
Many families would rather see usable furniture, clothes and household goods go to someone who needs them. Where items are in good condition we set them aside for reuse. If you have a particular charity shop or organisation in mind near Drimnagh, tell us and we will keep suitable items separate for you to arrange — we do not make donations in the family's name or claim to be affiliated with any charity.
Clearing in stages
Some families take the personal rooms themselves and ask us to do the rest; others want everything done in one visit. We can also do a first pass — furniture and bulk out, personal items left boxed — so the family can go through things in their own time before we come back.
Cost and first steps
The price depends on how much is in the house, how easy it is to get out, and whether there is a date to work to. Working room by room across several visits costs no more than doing it in one day. Send photographs when you are ready, or ask us to call out and look — either way the quote is free and carries no obligation.
When you are ready, use the form on this page, call 083 090 4545 or 059 865 2981, or send photographs on WhatsApp. We are here Mon–Sat 7am–8pm.

Questions families ask
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Krystal Klean Express Limited holds Waste Collection Permit No. NWCPO-25-13287-01 issued by the NWCPO and carries full insurance, including public liability.
What if we find something after the clearance?
Tell us as soon as you can. Loads are sorted rather than tipped straight away, so there is often a window in which something can still be recovered.
How soon after a death can the house be cleared?
There is no fixed rule, and there is no hurry from our side. Many families wait until probate has been granted, or at least until the executor and family have agreed. Your solicitor will advise on the estate side; whenever you are ready, we can work to your date.
Can you deal with the solicitor or executor instead of me?
Yes. We can agree access, dates and invoicing directly with the executor or the solicitor's office, and supply our waste permit and insurance details for the file.
What happens to photographs and documents?
They are set aside for the family rather than loaded. Paperwork, photographs, letters, jewellery, medals and anything that looks personal is put to one side as we go, boxed by room if that helps.
I live abroad — can the clearance still go ahead?
Yes, and it is common. We work from a key, a key safe or an agent, keep one point of contact, and send photographs of each room as it is finished.
Can family members take items first?
Of course. Most families go through the house first and mark what is being kept. If that is not possible, tell us what to look for and we will set it aside rather than load it.
