Commercial Waste Removal in Dublin

The waste the bin company won’t take — fit-outs, fixtures, old stock, a unit’s leftovers, a landlord’s void. Collected around your opening hours, by a permitted carrier, across Dublin.

Your bin contract covers the bins. It doesn’t cover the shelving from the refit, the stock that didn’t sell, the fittings the last tenant left in the unit, the broken chairs in the storeroom, or the skip-load that comes out when a premises changes hands. For that you need a one-off collection from a carrier that is permitted to take commercial waste — and that matters more than people think, because the business that produced the waste is responsible for where it ends up.

ManageWaste.ie is operated by Krystal Klean Express Limited, an authorised waste carrier holding Waste Collection Permit No. NWCPO-25-13287-01, with public liability insurance. We collect from shops, offices, landlords, property managers, schools, clubs and small industrial units across Dublin, and we schedule around trading hours. We’re based in Athy and run into Dublin daily — city-centre jobs are about 75 minutes from our yard, which is why we schedule Dublin work in rounds rather than one-offs, and why our quotes for Dublin don’t carry a long-distance premium.

Full commercial clearance in Dublin

A premises emptied end to end — the shop floor, the stockroom, the office upstairs, the yard. Fixtures and fittings, shelving and racking, counters, display units, signage, old stock, packaging, furniture, IT equipment, and the general accumulation of a business that has traded for years. We separate metal, timber, cardboard, WEEE and general waste as we load, because commercial loads are charged by weight at the facility and sorting keeps that honest. Where fittings have resale value we’ll tell you. A small retail unit is typically a day; a larger premises or a full yard is several loads.

For landlords and managing agents: void units cleared between tenants, with photographs and an invoice per unit. For tenants: cleared to the condition the lease requires, with the dilapidations schedule in mind.

One-off and partial commercial collections in Dublin

Most commercial jobs are smaller than a full clearance: the pile of flattened cardboard the bin company won’t take, the old shelving after a refit, the broken furniture in the storeroom, the stock that’s been written off, the leftovers after the Christmas rush. We collect that as a one-off — often the same week, sometimes the same day — and we can set up a standing arrangement if it recurs.

What we take — and what we don’t

  • Shop fittings, shelving, racking, counters and display units
  • Office furniture and IT equipment (WEEE)
  • Written-off stock, packaging and cardboard in bulk
  • Timber, pallets and crates
  • Fit-out and refurbishment leftovers (non-hazardous)
  • Contents of void units, storerooms and yards
  • General commercial waste that doesn’t fit the bin contract
  • Signage, fixtures and the awkward large items

Not included: Hazardous and clinical waste (we can point you to licensed handlers); Food waste in bulk (separate collectors); Asbestos.

Commercial Waste across Dublin: every area we cover

We provide commercial waste removal in all 161 areas below, and at the rural addresses between them. Dublin is four local authorities, not one, and that matters more than most people realise when they’re getting rid of things. Dublin City Council runs a bookable bulky-waste collection; Fingal, South Dublin and Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown don’t collect bulky waste at all. Where you live decides what the council will and won’t do for you — so on this page we’ve split the county by council area, named every area we cover, and set out exactly what each council offers so you can compare it with simply calling us.

For businesses, Dublin means the M50 industrial belt — Ballymount, Park West, Baldoyle, Sandyford, Blanchardstown, Airside — plus the city-centre offices and the retail units on every village main street. Loading bays, goods lifts, parking suspensions and estate security are the practical issues, and most of our Dublin commercial work is done early morning or on Saturdays to avoid them.

Doing it yourself in Dublin: what the councils offer

Before you ring anyone, here is the honest picture of what Dublin’s four councils will and won’t do for commercial waste removal. Timber is taken at Ringsend Recycling Centre, North Strand Recycling Centre and Ballymun Recycling Centre, usually cheaper than general waste if it’s kept separate. Electrical items — fridges, washing machines, TVs, computers — are free to drop at every council site as WEEE, and we take them as part of any job. Ringsend Recycling Centre, North Strand Recycling Centre, Ballymun Recycling Centre and Grangegorman Bring Centre are for household waste only — commercial loads are turned away. Ringsend Recycling Centre, North Strand Recycling Centre and Ballymun Recycling Centre will weigh in commercial waste at business rates. Watch the vehicle rules: Vans and vehicles with a double-axle trailer pay €95; car with single-axle trailer €55. Full large or commercial vans are not accepted. Household use only.

Dublin City Council — runs a bookable bulky household waste collection: Bulky Household Waste Collection Service for all households in the DCC area (domestic only, not commercial premises). Book online via Citizen Hub (citizenhub.dublincity.ie) or phone (01) 222 2222; pay in advance by debit/credit card. €50 per collection for up to 5 items (a three-piece suite counts as 3 items); each additional 5 items +€50. Normally contacted within 5 working days; collection may take up to 10 days after payment, Mon–Fri 8am–3pm, and you cannot choose the date. Items go on the public footpath on the morning of collection (not collected from gardens, sheds or inside). Full refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before the collection date. Accepts household furniture, bedding and mattresses, carpets, kitchen units/worktops/sinks, doors, bathroom and toilet suites, bicycles, ladders, garden furniture and barbecues, fully drained oil tanks/boilers/radiators, children's swings/slides, prams/buggies/large toys. Not accepted: bagged household or bin waste, garden waste, rubble/soil/plasterboard/asbestos, large amounts of renovation waste, glass, gas cylinders, paints and other hazardous waste, batteries, fluorescent tubes, electrical goods.

Fingal County Council — no bulky-waste collection. Fingal County Council does not offer a bulky waste collection service. Use an authorised collector with a National Waste Collection Permit Office (NWCPO) permit – the council publishes a list – or bring items to Coolmine or Estuary recycling centres for the per-vehicle fee.

South Dublin County Council — no bulky-waste collection. No council bulky collection – SDCC exited the waste collection service in 2011 and has no plans to reintroduce it. Residents use permitted private collectors or bring items to Ballymount Civic Amenity. The council runs periodic free community initiatives with social enterprise RecycleIT, e.g. a mattress amnesty (in 2025 mattresses could also be dropped free at RecycleIT, Crag Industrial Estate, D22) and door-to-door WEEE collection days before Halloween.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council — no bulky-waste collection. DLR transferred its household waste collection service to private companies in 2010 and offers no bulky-waste kerbside collection. Residents use permitted private collectors or bring items to Ballyogan Recycling Park. Occasional free Mattress Amnesty Days are held at Ballyogan (most recent: Saturday 5 September 2026, 9:30am–5:30pm).

Council details are taken from the councils’ own published information and checked periodically; hours and charges change, so confirm with the site before travelling. Where a council hasn’t published a charge we say so rather than guess.

Or we come to you

Set that against a collection from us: no van to borrow, no gate fee, no weighbridge surprise, no two-mattress limit, no carrying it down the stairs yourself, and no question about whether the site will turn your load away. We quote a fixed price from photos, we load it, and it leaves under our waste collection permit (NWCPO-25-13287-01). For a single item the council site can be cheaper if you already have the van and the time; for anything more than a car-boot load, we usually are.

How commercial waste removal works with us

  1. Tell us what and when. Photos of the load, the address, access (loading bay, shutter, stairs) and when you can’t have us on site.
  2. A written quote. Fixed where the load is clear; capped where it isn’t. Account terms for regular work.
  3. Collection. Timed around trading — early, late or weekend where needed. Sorted as loaded.
  4. Paperwork. Invoice and, where you want it, a note of the facility the load went to, for your records.

Commercial Waste in Dublin — our crew loading the truck on a recent job

What affects the price in Dublin

  • Weight — commercial loads are weighed at the facility; sorting metal, timber and cardboard out lowers it
  • Volume — number of loads
  • Timing — out-of-hours collection where the premises can’t have us during trading
  • Access — shutters, loading bays, upstairs stockrooms, yard gates
  • Recurring work — standing rates for landlords, agents and multi-site businesses

We’re based in Athy and run into Dublin daily — city-centre jobs are about 75 minutes from our yard, which is why we schedule Dublin work in rounds rather than one-offs, and why our quotes for Dublin don’t carry a long-distance premium. Send photos through the quote form or on WhatsApp and you’ll have a fixed price the same day.

Commercial Waste in Dublin: frequently asked questions

Are you permitted to take commercial waste?

Yes. Krystal Klean Express Limited holds NWCPO permit NWCPO-25-13287-01. You can check it on the NWCPO register — and you should check any collector, because the producer of the waste shares the responsibility for where it goes.

Can you come outside trading hours?

Yes. Early morning, after close and Saturday collections are normal for shops and offices in Dublin. Tell us the window.

Do you provide paperwork for our records?

An invoice as standard, and on request a note of the facility the load went to. Businesses with an environmental policy or a landlord’s lease requirement often ask for it.

Can we set up a regular collection?

Yes — weekly, monthly, or “call when the storeroom is full”. We agree a rate and you email or WhatsApp when you need us.

Do you clear void units for landlords?

A large part of what we do. Keys from the agent, cleared, photographed, invoiced per unit. See also the office clearance and warehouse clearance pages for Dublin.

Which parts of Dublin do you cover for businesses?

All of it — every town on this page and the business parks and industrial estates around them. City-centre collections are timed for loading-bay windows and parking rules.

Can we get a regular collection on a contract?

Yes — monthly, quarterly or “when the storeroom is full”, at an agreed rate. Email or WhatsApp when you need us and we slot you in.

Do you provide waste transfer documentation?

On request, yes — a record of the load and the facility it went to, under our permit. Businesses with an environmental policy or an auditor usually want it.

Can you take cardboard and packaging in bulk?

Yes. Clean cardboard is baled or bagged for recycling and priced separately from mixed waste, which keeps the bill down.

We’re a school / club / charity. Do you do those?

Yes — schools, GAA clubs, community halls and charities are regular Dublin customers, often for a once-a-year clear-out.

Can you clear a unit the landlord has repossessed?

Yes, once the landlord has the legal right to it. We clear, photograph and invoice the landlord or agent directly.

Does the council collect bulky items in Dublin?

Dublin City Council does — a bookable collection at €50 for up to five items, with a wait of up to ten days, for furniture and mattresses but not electricals, garden waste or rubble. Fingal, South Dublin and Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown offer no bulky collection at all. Details are in the council section above.

How far is Dublin from your base?

We’re based in Athy and run into Dublin daily — city-centre jobs are about 75 minutes from our yard, which is why we schedule Dublin work in rounds rather than one-offs, and why our quotes for Dublin don’t carry a long-distance premium.
