Commercial Waste Removal in Co. Meath
The waste the bin company won’t take — fit-outs, fixtures, old stock, a unit’s leftovers, a landlord’s void. Collected around your opening hours, by a permitted carrier, across Meath.
Commercial Waste by county: DublinKildareWicklowKilkennyLaoisCarlowMeathLouthLongfordOffalyWestmeathWexford

Your bin contract covers the bins. It doesn’t cover the shelving from the refit, the stock that didn’t sell, the fittings the last tenant left in the unit, the broken chairs in the storeroom, or the skip-load that comes out when a premises changes hands. For that you need a one-off collection from a carrier that is permitted to take commercial waste — and that matters more than people think, because the business that produced the waste is responsible for where it ends up.
ManageWaste.ie is operated by Krystal Klean Express Limited, an authorised waste carrier holding Waste Collection Permit No. NWCPO-25-13287-01, with public liability insurance. We collect from shops, offices, landlords, property managers, schools, clubs and small industrial units across Meath, and we schedule around trading hours. Meath is a proper run for us — south Meath (Enfield, Dunboyne, Dunshaughlin, Ashbourne) is about an hour from Athy via the M4 and M50, Navan and Trim roughly 80 minutes, and Kells, Oldcastle and the coast around Laytown nearer an hour and three-quarters. We cover it by grouping Meath jobs on set days each week, so a one-off job here is priced as part of a round rather than a special trip.

Full commercial clearance in Meath
A premises emptied end to end — the shop floor, the stockroom, the office upstairs, the yard. Fixtures and fittings, shelving and racking, counters, display units, signage, old stock, packaging, furniture, IT equipment, and the general accumulation of a business that has traded for years. We separate metal, timber, cardboard, WEEE and general waste as we load, because commercial loads are charged by weight at the facility and sorting keeps that honest. Where fittings have resale value we’ll tell you. A small retail unit is typically a day; a larger premises or a full yard is several loads.
For landlords and managing agents: void units cleared between tenants, with photographs and an invoice per unit. For tenants: cleared to the condition the lease requires, with the dilapidations schedule in mind.
One-off and partial commercial collections in Meath
Most commercial jobs are smaller than a full clearance: the pile of flattened cardboard the bin company won’t take, the old shelving after a refit, the broken furniture in the storeroom, the stock that’s been written off, the leftovers after the Christmas rush. We collect that as a one-off — often the same week, sometimes the same day — and we can set up a standing arrangement if it recurs.
What we take — and what we don’t
- Shop fittings, shelving, racking, counters and display units
- Office furniture and IT equipment (WEEE)
- Written-off stock, packaging and cardboard in bulk
- Timber, pallets and crates
- Fit-out and refurbishment leftovers (non-hazardous)
- Contents of void units, storerooms and yards
- General commercial waste that doesn’t fit the bin contract
- Signage, fixtures and the awkward large items
Not included: Hazardous and clinical waste (we can point you to licensed handlers); Food waste in bulk (separate collectors); Asbestos.
Commercial Waste across Co. Meath: every town we cover
We provide commercial waste removal in all 52 towns and villages below, and at the rural addresses between them. Meath is big and busy: the commuter towns along the Dublin border (Ashbourne, Ratoath, Dunboyne, Dunshaughlin, Clonee) grew enormously in the 2000s; Navan, Trim and Kells are the old market towns in the middle; the coast strip from Laytown to Mornington looks to Drogheda; and the north and west — Oldcastle, Nobber, Athboy, Enfield — is rural and quiet. Meath County Council runs no bulky-waste collection. Its three recycling centres (Navan, Kells, Trim) charge a flat gate fee plus a price per item of furniture, and there is no council site at all in east Meath — people in Ashbourne, Ratoath, Dunboyne and the coast are sent to Dunboyne’s private facility or across the county line.
Meath business sits in Navan’s and Ashbourne’s industrial estates, the Kells and Trim business parks, the M3 and M4 corridors around Dunboyne, Dunshaughlin and Enfield, and the agri and equine businesses everywhere else. Access is good; the distance is what we plan around.

Doing it yourself in Meath: what the council offers
Before you ring anyone, here is the honest picture of what Meath County Council will and won’t do for commercial waste removal. Timber is taken at Navan Recycling Centre (Civic Amenity Site), Kells Recycling Centre (Civic Amenity Site) and Trim Recycling Centre (Civic Amenity Site), usually cheaper than general waste if it’s kept separate. Electrical items — fridges, washing machines, TVs, computers — are free to drop at every council site as WEEE, and we take them as part of any job. Navan Recycling Centre (Civic Amenity Site), Kells Recycling Centre (Civic Amenity Site) and Dunboyne Recycling Facility (Thorntons Recycling) are for household waste only — commercial loads are turned away. Watch the vehicle rules: Cars, vans and trailers admitted; vans and trailers pay load-based rates (green waste small van €10, large van €50). Commercial vehicles charged separately (timber €40 per van or €1.50 per pallet, scrap metal €50 per load, cardboard €30 per van, paper €40 per van). Fair-usage policy applies.
Meath County Council — no bulky-waste collection. Meath County Council does not collect household or bulky waste from homes and does not run a bookable bulky-item collection. Bulky household waste is to be brought to the three council recycling centres at Navan, Kells and Trim (run under contract by Oxigen Environmental), where it is charged per item on top of a €2 gate fee, or to Thorntons Dunboyne. Alternatively use an authorised private collector (check the NWCPO permit register). The council does run several free amnesty / drop-off weeks each year: a free mattress drop-off (typically April; e.g. Navan 18 April, Trim 19 April, Thorntons Dunboyne 19 April, Kells 20 April in 2024), a free bulky-furniture week in late July/August (couches, beds, chairs, tables, wardrobes, outdoor furniture, garden equipment, toys, trampolines, flooring, sanitary ware - mattresses excluded) rotating through Navan, Trim, Kells and Dunboyne, and a Halloween anti-bonfire drop-off in late October (furniture suites, beds, divans, bed frames, flooring, duvets, pillows, toys, doors, windows - no mattresses, paint, domestic or green waste). Rules: householders only, Meath residents only (bring photo ID plus a utility bill or driving licence), no commercial customers, and the €2 gate fee still applies. The council said in April 2026 the mattress amnesty and a sofa amnesty would run again in 2026; dates are announced on meath.ie, the council's social media and in the Meath Chronicle, and enquiries go to environment@meathcoco.ie.

Council details are taken from the councils’ own published information and checked periodically; hours and charges change, so confirm with the site before travelling. Where a council hasn’t published a charge we say so rather than guess.
Or we come to you
Set that against a collection from us: no van to borrow, no gate fee, no weighbridge surprise, no two-mattress limit, no carrying it down the stairs yourself, and no question about whether the site will turn your load away. We quote a fixed price from photos, we load it, and it leaves under our waste collection permit (NWCPO-25-13287-01). For a single item the council site can be cheaper if you already have the van and the time; for anything more than a car-boot load, we usually are.
How commercial waste removal works with us
Tell us what and when. Photos of the load, the address, access (loading bay, shutter, stairs) and when you can’t have us on site.
A written quote. Fixed where the load is clear; capped where it isn’t. Account terms for regular work.
Collection. Timed around trading — early, late or weekend where needed. Sorted as loaded.
Paperwork. Invoice and, where you want it, a note of the facility the load went to, for your records.

What affects the price in Meath
Weight — commercial loads are weighed at the facility; sorting metal, timber and cardboard out lowers it
Volume — number of loads
Timing — out-of-hours collection where the premises can’t have us during trading
Access — shutters, loading bays, upstairs stockrooms, yard gates
Recurring work — standing rates for landlords, agents and multi-site businesses
Meath is a proper run for us — south Meath (Enfield, Dunboyne, Dunshaughlin, Ashbourne) is about an hour from Athy via the M4 and M50, Navan and Trim roughly 80 minutes, and Kells, Oldcastle and the coast around Laytown nearer an hour and three-quarters. We cover it by grouping Meath jobs on set days each week, so a one-off job here is priced as part of a round rather than a special trip. Send photos through the quote form or on WhatsApp and you’ll have a fixed price the same day.

Commercial Waste in Meath: frequently asked questions
Are you permitted to take commercial waste?
Yes. Krystal Klean Express Limited holds NWCPO permit NWCPO-25-13287-01. You can check it on the NWCPO register — and you should check any collector, because the producer of the waste shares the responsibility for where it goes.
Can you come outside trading hours?
Yes. Early morning, after close and Saturday collections are normal for shops and offices in Meath. Tell us the window.
Do you provide paperwork for our records?
An invoice as standard, and on request a note of the facility the load went to. Businesses with an environmental policy or a landlord’s lease requirement often ask for it.
Can we set up a regular collection?
Yes — weekly, monthly, or “call when the storeroom is full”. We agree a rate and you email or WhatsApp when you need us.
Do you clear void units for landlords?
A large part of what we do. Keys from the agent, cleared, photographed, invoiced per unit. See also the office clearance and warehouse clearance pages for Meath.
Which parts of Meath do you cover for businesses?
All of it — every town on this page and the business parks and industrial estates around them.
Can we get a regular collection on a contract?
Yes — monthly, quarterly or “when the storeroom is full”, at an agreed rate. Email or WhatsApp when you need us and we slot you in.
Do you provide waste transfer documentation?
On request, yes — a record of the load and the facility it went to, under our permit. Businesses with an environmental policy or an auditor usually want it.
Can you take cardboard and packaging in bulk?
Yes. Clean cardboard is baled or bagged for recycling and priced separately from mixed waste, which keeps the bill down.
We’re a school / club / charity. Do you do those?
Yes — schools, GAA clubs, community halls and charities are regular Meath customers, often for a once-a-year clear-out.
Can you clear a unit the landlord has repossessed?
Yes, once the landlord has the legal right to it. We clear, photograph and invoice the landlord or agent directly.
Does Meath County Council collect bulky items?
No. Meath County Council does not run a bulky-waste collection. Your options are the council recycling centres listed above — with their charges and limits — or a permitted private collector like us.
How far is Meath from your base?
Meath is a proper run for us — south Meath (Enfield, Dunboyne, Dunshaughlin, Ashbourne) is about an hour from Athy via the M4 and M50, Navan and Trim roughly 80 minutes, and Kells, Oldcastle and the coast around Laytown nearer an hour and three-quarters.
