Junk removal is the simplest thing we do and the thing people put off longest. The old sofa in the garage. The broken wardrobe in the spare room. The bags from the clear-out that the bin lorry won’t take. The decking you pulled up. The fridge in the garden. It builds up because every option seems like a hassle — a skip costs a lot for what you have and sits on the drive for a week, the council site means a van you don’t own and a fee you don’t know, and the “man with a van” from a Facebook post may or may not be permitted to take it.
We make it easy: send a photo, get a price, pick a day, and we load it ourselves. ManageWaste.ie is operated by Krystal Klean Express Limited, permit NWCPO-25-13287-01 — so you know where it goes. North Wexford is nearer us than you might think — Bunclody is 45 minutes from Athy, Enniscorthy and Gorey about an hour, New Ross a little more, and Wexford Town, Rosslare and the Hook about an hour and a half. We’re in Wexford every week, usually combining the north of the county with Carlow work.

Full loads — when there’s a lot of it
A full truck load is the equivalent of a large skip, except we load it, it takes an hour instead of a week, and it costs less for most household jobs. Full loads are what we send for a garage, a garden, a shed, a renovation’s leftovers or a flat that’s been emptied into the hall. We sort as we load — timber, metal, WEEE and general separately — because disposal is charged by weight and type, and sorting keeps the price down. If it turns out to be more than one load, we tell you before we start the second.
Single items and small loads
Most junk jobs are small: one sofa, one mattress, one fridge, a few bags, the old bed after the new one came. We price these for what they are — a short stop with a van — and we try to fit them into a run already going through your area so they stay cheap. In Wexford there is no council collection for bulky items, so a single-item collection from us is often the only alternative to a trip to the recycling centre with a van.
What we take — and what we don’t
- Sofas, armchairs, beds, mattresses, wardrobes and tables
- Fridges, freezers, washing machines, cookers, TVs (WEEE)
- Bagged rubbish and loose junk
- Timber, decking, fencing and DIY leftovers
- Carpets, rugs, blinds and curtains
- Bikes, prams, toys, exercise equipment
- Garden junk — pots, furniture, broken sheds
- Small amounts of rubble, tiles and plasterboard
Not included: Hazardous waste beyond household paint and oil; Asbestos; Large quantities of rubble (ask — we can arrange a grab or skip).
Junk Removal across Co. Wexford: every town we cover
We provide junk removal in all 105 towns and villages below, and at the rural addresses between them. Wexford is a long county: Gorey and the Courtown coast in the north, Enniscorthy on the Slaney in the middle, New Ross on the Barrow in the west, Wexford Town and Rosslare in the south-east and the Hook peninsula in the far south, with the biggest run of villages in Leinster between them. Wexford County Council runs no bulky-waste collection, and only one of its four recycling centres — Holmestown near Wexford Town — takes furniture, mattresses and general waste; Enniscorthy, New Ross and Gorey are recyclables and WEEE only. So for most of the county, bulky waste means a long drive to Holmestown or a permitted collector.
Wexford Town has Georgian and Victorian terraces on narrow streets, Gorey and Enniscorthy grew fast in the 2000s with large estates and apartment schemes, and the coast from Courtown to Rosslare is full of holiday homes and mobile-home parks that need clearing at the end of a season or a sale. Inland it’s farmhouses with yards and sheds, and bungalows on their own sites.

Doing it yourself in Wexford: what the council offers
Before you ring anyone, here is the honest picture of what Wexford County Council will and won’t do for junk removal. Furniture and bulky items are accepted at Holmestown Household Recycling Centre, with mattresses charged separately (Bulky: single mattress/base €14, double €28, armchair €14, 2-seater €21, 3-seater €28, carpet €21). Enniscorthy Household Recycling Centre, New Ross Household Recycling Centre and Gorey Household Recycling Centre do not accept furniture or mattresses at all. Electrical items — fridges, washing machines, TVs, computers — are free to drop at every council site as WEEE, and we take them as part of any job. Watch the vehicle rules: Vans and trailers admitted with set load bands: single-axle trailer/van €65–€100, double-axle trailer or large van €100–€150, extra-large van €180; domestic waste only.
Wexford County Council — no bulky-waste collection. Wexford County Council does not collect household or bulky waste from the kerb; bin collection is by licensed private operators listed on wexfordcoco.ie. Bulky furniture, mattresses and carpets are accepted only at the Holmestown Household Recycling Centre near Wexford town (per-item charges), or via an authorised private collector. Free anti-dumping amnesties run most years: a Mattress Amnesty across all four recycling centres over four weeks in September–October 2025 (Tue–Fri 8:15am–12pm and 1pm–4pm, limit 3 mattresses per vehicle, one entry per vehicle, €2 vehicle entry, households only, mattresses clean and dry), and a free Furniture Amnesty at Holmestown for three weeks from September 2026 (Tue–Fri 9am–3pm, freestanding furniture only such as tables, chairs and couches, max 4 items per household, one trip only, no mattresses, no commercial waste).

Council details are taken from the councils’ own published information and checked periodically; hours and charges change, so confirm with the site before travelling. Where a council hasn’t published a charge we say so rather than guess.
Or we come to you
Set that against a collection from us: no van to borrow, no gate fee, no weighbridge surprise, no two-mattress limit, no carrying it down the stairs yourself, and no question about whether the site will turn your load away. We quote a fixed price from photos, we load it, and it leaves under our waste collection permit (NWCPO-25-13287-01). For a single item the council site can be cheaper if you already have the van and the time; for anything more than a car-boot load, we usually are.

What affects the price in Wexford
Volume — single item, part load, full load
Weight — timber, rubble and books cost more than a sofa
Items with a disposal charge — mattresses, fridges, tyres, paint
Access — stairs, carry distance, parking
Route — if we’re already in your area that week, it’s cheaper
North Wexford is nearer us than you might think — Bunclody is 45 minutes from Athy, Enniscorthy and Gorey about an hour, New Ross a little more, and Wexford Town, Rosslare and the Hook about an hour and a half. We’re in Wexford every week, usually combining the north of the county with Carlow work. Send photos through the quote form or on WhatsApp and you’ll have a fixed price the same day.

Junk Removal in Wexford: frequently asked questions
Is it cheaper than a skip?
For most household jobs, yes. A skip is a fixed size you may not fill, needs a permit if it goes on the road, and sits for days. We charge for what we take and we load it. For a genuinely huge job a skip can win — we’ll tell you.
Do I have to carry it to the road?
No. We take it from where it is — the attic, the back garden, the third floor.
Do you take mattresses and fridges?
Yes. Both carry a disposal charge, which we show on the quote. Council sites charge for mattresses too; fridges are free at the council as WEEE.
How quickly can you come?
Small jobs usually within a day or two; same day is sometimes possible.
Where does it go?
Sorted on the truck; reusable items set aside; recyclables recycled; the rest to authorised facilities under permit NWCPO-25-13287-01. You can have the details for the load.
Do you cover all of Wexford?
Yes — every town and village on this page and the rural addresses between.
Can you collect from outside if nobody is home?
Yes — leave it in the garden, the driveway or the garage with the door open, send us a photo, and we collect and send a photo of the space clear.
Do you take builders’ rubble?
Small amounts, bagged — a few bags from a DIY job, yes. A skip-load of rubble is better with a grab lorry and we’ll say so.
Do you take garden waste as well as junk?
Yes — kept separate on the truck so the green waste is composted. See the garden waste page for Wexford if that’s the main job.
What’s the smallest job you’ll do?
One item. A mattress, a fridge, a sofa. We fit small jobs into runs so they stay cheap.
Do you cover rural Wexford?
Yes — every townland, not just the towns on this page. A long lane and a gate are normal for us.
Does Wexford County Council collect bulky items?
No. Wexford County Council does not run a bulky-waste collection. Your options are the council recycling centres listed above — with their charges and limits — or a permitted private collector like us.
How far is Wexford from your base?
North Wexford is nearer us than you might think — Bunclody is 45 minutes from Athy, Enniscorthy and Gorey about an hour, New Ross a little more, and Wexford Town, Rosslare and the Hook about an hour and a half. We’re in Wexford every week, usually combining the north of the county with Carlow work.
