Furniture Removal in Co. Wexford
The sofa that’s done, the bed that’s been replaced, the wardrobe that won’t come apart. Collected from inside the house, reused where it can be, recycled where it can’t — across Wexford.

Old furniture is the single most common thing we collect. It doesn’t fit the car, the shop that delivered the new one wouldn’t take the old one, and it’s too good — or too heavy — to leave out for someone to take. Wexford has no council collection for bulky furniture, so the choice is a van trip to the recycling centre or a collection from us.
We collect from inside the house, dismantle what needs dismantling, and set good pieces aside for reuse. ManageWaste.ie is operated by Krystal Klean Express Limited, permit NWCPO-25-13287-01. North Wexford is nearer us than you might think — Bunclody is 45 minutes from Athy, Enniscorthy and Gorey about an hour, New Ross a little more, and Wexford Town, Rosslare and the Hook about an hour and a half. We’re in Wexford every week, usually combining the north of the county with Carlow work.

Clearing a house of furniture in Wexford
When it’s all the furniture — a house being sold empty, a rental being refurnished, a move where nothing is coming — we treat it as a furniture-only clearance: every piece out, dismantled where needed, loaded in an order that protects what can be reused. Good solid furniture, especially hardwood pieces and sound upholstery, is set aside for reuse where we can arrange it, which reduces the disposal cost and we pass that on. Flat-pack rarely survives disassembly and goes for recycling as timber and metal. A house-worth of furniture is typically a half-day and one load.
Single pieces and small furniture collections
One sofa. A bed and mattress. The wardrobe. The dining table and six chairs. These are quick stops and we price them as such, and we try to fit them into a run already going through Wexford so the price stays sensible. We can time it to the day your new furniture arrives — out with the old in the morning, in with the new in the afternoon.
What we take — and what we don’t
- Sofas, armchairs, recliners and sofa beds
- Beds, bed frames, mattresses and divans
- Wardrobes, chests of drawers, dressers and sideboards
- Dining tables, chairs, desks and bookcases
- Garden furniture
- Flat-pack furniture — dismantled and recycled
- Office furniture from home offices
- Carrying from any room and any floor
Not included: Pianos and safes (ask — we can arrange specialist movers); Furniture you want moved to another address (that’s a removals job, not disposal — though we can advise).
Furniture Removal across Co. Wexford: every town we cover
We provide furniture removal in all 105 towns and villages below, and at the rural addresses between them. Wexford is a long county: Gorey and the Courtown coast in the north, Enniscorthy on the Slaney in the middle, New Ross on the Barrow in the west, Wexford Town and Rosslare in the south-east and the Hook peninsula in the far south, with the biggest run of villages in Leinster between them. Wexford County Council runs no bulky-waste collection, and only one of its four recycling centres — Holmestown near Wexford Town — takes furniture, mattresses and general waste; Enniscorthy, New Ross and Gorey are recyclables and WEEE only. So for most of the county, bulky waste means a long drive to Holmestown or a permitted collector.
Wexford Town has Georgian and Victorian terraces on narrow streets, Gorey and Enniscorthy grew fast in the 2000s with large estates and apartment schemes, and the coast from Courtown to Rosslare is full of holiday homes and mobile-home parks that need clearing at the end of a season or a sale. Inland it’s farmhouses with yards and sheds, and bungalows on their own sites.

Wexford County Council — no bulky-waste collection. Wexford County Council does not collect household or bulky waste from the kerb; bin collection is by licensed private operators listed on wexfordcoco.ie. Bulky furniture, mattresses and carpets are accepted only at the Holmestown Household Recycling Centre near Wexford town (per-item charges), or via an authorised private collector. Free anti-dumping amnesties run most years: a Mattress Amnesty across all four recycling centres over four weeks in September–October 2025 (Tue–Fri 8:15am–12pm and 1pm–4pm, limit 3 mattresses per vehicle, one entry per vehicle, €2 vehicle entry, households only, mattresses clean and dry), and a free Furniture Amnesty at Holmestown for three weeks from September 2026 (Tue–Fri 9am–3pm, freestanding furniture only such as tables, chairs and couches, max 4 items per household, one trip only, no mattresses, no commercial waste).

Council details are taken from the councils’ own published information and checked periodically; hours and charges change, so confirm with the site before travelling. Where a council hasn’t published a charge we say so rather than guess.
Or we come to you
Set that against a collection from us: no van to borrow, no gate fee, no weighbridge surprise, no two-mattress limit, no carrying it down the stairs yourself, and no question about whether the site will turn your load away. We quote a fixed price from photos, we load it, and it leaves under our waste collection permit (NWCPO-25-13287-01). For a single item the council site can be cheaper if you already have the van and the time; for anything more than a car-boot load, we usually are.

Furniture Removal in Wexford: frequently asked questions
Can you take just one item?
Yes. Single-item collections are a large part of what we do in Wexford. We fit them into runs to keep them cheap.
Will you take it from upstairs?
Yes, from any room on any floor, with the walls and door frames protected. Tell us the floor.
Can you take the old one the day the new one arrives?
Yes — book us for the morning and the delivery for the afternoon.
What happens to good furniture?
Reused where we can arrange it. It lowers your price and keeps it out of landfill. Tell us if there’s a charity you’d like us to try.
Do you take mattresses?
Yes, with a per-mattress disposal charge shown on the quote — the same charge the council sites apply where they accept them.
Do you cover every town in Wexford?
Yes — every town on this page and the addresses in between.
Can you take a wardrobe that was built in the room?
Yes — we dismantle it. Fitted wardrobes are unscrewed from the wall and taken in panels; freestanding ones come apart the same way.
Do you take garden and patio furniture?
Yes — rattan, metal, timber, parasols, and the cover that blew away. Timber and metal are recycled separately.
Can you collect from a storage unit or a garage?
Yes. Tell us the location and access, and we collect from there instead of the house.
Do you take office furniture from a home office?
Yes — desks, chairs, filing cabinets and bookcases from home offices are a common collection.
Is there a minimum charge for furniture collection in Wexford?
A single-item collection is priced as a short stop, not a full clearance. In Wexford we fit single items into runs to keep the price down.
Does Wexford County Council collect bulky items?
No. Wexford County Council does not run a bulky-waste collection. Your options are the council recycling centres listed above — with their charges and limits — or a permitted private collector like us.
How far is Wexford from your base?
North Wexford is nearer us than you might think — Bunclody is 45 minutes from Athy, Enniscorthy and Gorey about an hour, New Ross a little more, and Wexford Town, Rosslare and the Hook about an hour and a half. We’re in Wexford every week, usually combining the north of the county with Carlow work.
