Garage Clearance in Co. Wexford
Garages are where the house keeps what it can’t throw out. Tools, timber, tins of paint, the exercise bike, the second fridge. We clear the lot across Wexford and deal properly with the awkward stuff.

A garage clearance is a different beast from a house clearance. Less furniture, more weight: timber, tiles, bags of cement that have gone hard, car parts, a lawnmower that hasn’t started since 2015, paint tins, bottles of something, a chest freezer with the door taped shut. Much of it needs separating — paint, oil and chemicals can’t go in with the general load, timber is cheaper to dispose of on its own, metal is worth keeping apart.
We sort as we load so each stream goes where it should, and we’re permitted to carry it. ManageWaste.ie is operated by Krystal Klean Express Limited, permit NWCPO-25-13287-01. North Wexford is nearer us than you might think — Bunclody is 45 minutes from Athy, Enniscorthy and Gorey about an hour, New Ross a little more, and Wexford Town, Rosslare and the Hook about an hour and a half. We’re in Wexford every week, usually combining the north of the county with Carlow work.

Full garage clearance in Wexford
Back to the walls and the floor. Shelving down if you want it gone, workbench out, everything on it and under it, the roof-space storage, the back corner nobody has reached in a decade. We separate timber, metal, WEEE, hazardous liquids and general waste on the way out and sweep the floor at the end. A single garage is normally a half-day with one truck; a double garage that’s been a workshop and a dump for thirty years is a day and often two loads because of the weight.
If the garage is being converted — into a room, a home office, a gym — we clear to a standard the builder can start on, including taking old fittings and any loose render off the floor.
Partial garage clearance in Wexford
The old appliances. The pile of timber. The tyres. The thirty paint tins. A partial garage job is usually about one category of thing that you can’t get rid of any other way — and often it’s the category the council site won’t take, or charges extra for. We’ll collect just that and leave your garage otherwise as it was.

Garage Clearance across Co. Wexford: every town we cover
We provide a garage clearance in all 105 towns and villages below, and at the rural addresses between them. Wexford is a long county: Gorey and the Courtown coast in the north, Enniscorthy on the Slaney in the middle, New Ross on the Barrow in the west, Wexford Town and Rosslare in the south-east and the Hook peninsula in the far south, with the biggest run of villages in Leinster between them. Wexford County Council runs no bulky-waste collection, and only one of its four recycling centres — Holmestown near Wexford Town — takes furniture, mattresses and general waste; Enniscorthy, New Ross and Gorey are recyclables and WEEE only. So for most of the county, bulky waste means a long drive to Holmestown or a permitted collector.
Wexford Town has Georgian and Victorian terraces on narrow streets, Gorey and Enniscorthy grew fast in the 2000s with large estates and apartment schemes, and the coast from Courtown to Rosslare is full of holiday homes and mobile-home parks that need clearing at the end of a season or a sale. Inland it’s farmhouses with yards and sheds, and bungalows on their own sites.

Doing it yourself in Wexford: what the council offers
Before you ring anyone, here is the honest picture of what Wexford County Council will and won’t do for a garage clearance. Holmestown Household Recycling Centre, Enniscorthy Household Recycling Centre and New Ross Household Recycling Centre won’t take construction waste. Electrical items — fridges, washing machines, TVs, computers — are free to drop at every council site as WEEE, and we take them as part of any job. Household paint, oil and chemicals are accepted at Holmestown Household Recycling Centre, Enniscorthy Household Recycling Centre and New Ross Household Recycling Centre, usually for a small charge. Watch the vehicle rules: Vans and trailers admitted with set load bands: single-axle trailer/van €65–€100, double-axle trailer or large van €100–€150, extra-large van €180; domestic waste only.
Wexford County Council — no bulky-waste collection. Wexford County Council does not collect household or bulky waste from the kerb; bin collection is by licensed private operators listed on wexfordcoco.ie. Bulky furniture, mattresses and carpets are accepted only at the Holmestown Household Recycling Centre near Wexford town (per-item charges), or via an authorised private collector. Free anti-dumping amnesties run most years: a Mattress Amnesty across all four recycling centres over four weeks in September–October 2025 (Tue–Fri 8:15am–12pm and 1pm–4pm, limit 3 mattresses per vehicle, one entry per vehicle, €2 vehicle entry, households only, mattresses clean and dry), and a free Furniture Amnesty at Holmestown for three weeks from September 2026 (Tue–Fri 9am–3pm, freestanding furniture only such as tables, chairs and couches, max 4 items per household, one trip only, no mattresses, no commercial waste).

Council details are taken from the councils’ own published information and checked periodically; hours and charges change, so confirm with the site before travelling. Where a council hasn’t published a charge we say so rather than guess.
Or we come to you
Set that against a collection from us: no van to borrow, no gate fee, no weighbridge surprise, no two-mattress limit, no carrying it down the stairs yourself, and no question about whether the site will turn your load away. We quote a fixed price from photos, we load it, and it leaves under our waste collection permit (NWCPO-25-13287-01). For a single item the council site can be cheaper if you already have the van and the time; for anything more than a car-boot load, we usually are.
How a garage clearance works with us
Photos. A wide shot from the door and a couple of close-ups of the heavy stuff. Tell us if there are chemicals, tyres or a freezer.
Fixed price. Quoted on what we see, with the separate streams (hazardous, tyres, WEEE) priced honestly.
The clearance. Sorted as we load — timber, metal, WEEE, hazardous and general on the truck separately.
Swept and done. Floor swept, shelving left or taken as agreed, photos sent.

What affects the price in Wexford
Weight — the big factor in garages; timber, tiles and cement cost by the tonne to dispose of
Hazardous items — paint, oil and chemicals have separate disposal costs
Tyres and appliances — priced per item
Access — a garage at the end of a long garden versus one on the driveway
Reuse and scrap — tools, metal and good timber reduce the bill
North Wexford is nearer us than you might think — Bunclody is 45 minutes from Athy, Enniscorthy and Gorey about an hour, New Ross a little more, and Wexford Town, Rosslare and the Hook about an hour and a half. We’re in Wexford every week, usually combining the north of the county with Carlow work. Send photos through the quote form or on WhatsApp and you’ll have a fixed price the same day.

Garage Clearance in Wexford: frequently asked questions
Do you take paint, oil and chemicals?
Yes, in household quantities, separated from the general load and taken to a facility that handles them. There is a per-item or per-litre cost for these — we show it on the quote rather than hiding it.
Do you take tyres?
Yes, priced per tyre. Most council sites either refuse tyres or charge for them.
What about the old chest freezer?
Fridges and freezers go for WEEE recycling — the council sites take them free and we take them as part of the job. Empty it first if you can; if you can’t, tell us and we’ll deal with it.
Can you take the garage shelving and workbench?
Yes, dismantled and taken, or left if you want to keep it. Metal racking goes for scrap, which helps the price.
Will you clear it ready for a conversion?
Yes — back to bare walls and floor, old fittings off, loose material up. Tell the builder to send us their list.
Garage, shed and attic together in Wexford?
Absolutely, and it’s the most cost-effective way to do it — one crew, one truck, one day. See the shed clearance and attic clearance pages for Wexford.
Can you take a car engine or heavy machinery?
If it can be moved by two people or a sack truck, yes. Engine blocks, lathes and the like are heavy but fine. Anything needing a crane we arrange separately.
Do you take asbestos garage roofs?
No — asbestos cement sheets need a licensed contractor. We’ll point you to one and clear the garage once the roof is done.
What about half-full paint tins and old creosote?
Household quantities, yes, separated and taken for proper disposal. We charge per item for these because the facilities charge us per litre.
Can you clear a garage that’s been used as a workshop?
Yes — benches, vices, racking, tools, offcuts and swarf. Tools and metal are set aside for reuse or scrap, which brings the price down.
Do you offer same-day garage clearance in Wexford?
Sometimes. Wexford jobs are grouped into runs, so next-day is more realistic than same-day, but ask.
Does Wexford County Council collect bulky items?
No. Wexford County Council does not run a bulky-waste collection. Your options are the council recycling centres listed above — with their charges and limits — or a permitted private collector like us.
How far is Wexford from your base?
North Wexford is nearer us than you might think — Bunclody is 45 minutes from Athy, Enniscorthy and Gorey about an hour, New Ross a little more, and Wexford Town, Rosslare and the Hook about an hour and a half. We’re in Wexford every week, usually combining the north of the county with Carlow work.
