Office furniture stacked for removal during an office clearance in Meath

Offices generate a specific kind of clearance: a lot of identical furniture that nobody wants, a lot of paper, and a lot of electrical equipment that can’t legally go in a skip. The timing is usually tight — the lease ends on a Friday, the new tenant’s fit-out starts Monday — and the building has rules about lifts, loading bays and hours. In Meath it’s more often a business park unit with a car park and a shutter, which makes life easier.

We clear offices from a single room to several floors, sort the furniture for reuse where it’s in good condition, and handle the WEEE — monitors, PCs, printers, phones, servers — through the proper recycling route. ManageWaste.ie is operated by Krystal Klean Express Limited, permit NWCPO-25-13287-01, fully insured for commercial premises. Meath is a proper run for us — south Meath (Enfield, Dunboyne, Dunshaughlin, Ashbourne) is about an hour from Athy via the M4 and M50, Navan and Trim roughly 80 minutes, and Kells, Oldcastle and the coast around Laytown nearer an hour and three-quarters. We cover it by grouping Meath jobs on set days each week, so a one-off job here is priced as part of a round rather than a special trip.

Full office clearance in Meath

Everything out of the space: desks and chairs, pedestals, filing cabinets, meeting tables, partitions and screens, reception furniture, the kitchen’s fridge and microwave, the comms cabinet, the stationery cupboard, the archive boxes, the plants. Furniture is dismantled where it needs to be to get through the door or into the lift, stacked and loaded in order. Good furniture is set aside for reuse — standard office desks and task chairs in decent condition are reusable and that lowers your bill. Paper can be bagged for confidential shredding through a certified shredding partner if you need it. Monitors, PCs, printers and phones go for WEEE recycling and we can note serial numbers for your asset register.

A small office of ten desks is a half-day; a floor of fifty is a day with two trucks; multi-floor clearances are planned over a weekend.

Partial office clearance in Meath

Often it’s a refresh rather than a move: the old chairs after new ones arrive, the filing cabinets nobody opens, the meeting room being turned into desks, the storeroom. We collect exactly what’s been tagged and leave the office working. Small office collections are quick and can be done early morning before staff arrive.

What we take — and what we don’t

  • Desks, chairs, pedestals, filing cabinets and storage
  • Meeting and boardroom furniture
  • Partitions, screens and reception furniture
  • Monitors, PCs, printers, phones, servers and cabling (WEEE)
  • Kitchen appliances and canteen furniture
  • Archive boxes and paper (with certified shredding available)
  • Carpet tiles, blinds and non-structural fit-out
  • Dismantling and loading included

Not included: Data destruction certification is via our shredding partner, not us directly; Structural strip-out (ceilings, services) — ask, we can arrange it; Hazardous materials.

Office Clearance across Co. Meath: every town we cover

We provide an office clearance in all 52 towns and villages below, and at the rural addresses between them. Meath is big and busy: the commuter towns along the Dublin border (Ashbourne, Ratoath, Dunboyne, Dunshaughlin, Clonee) grew enormously in the 2000s; Navan, Trim and Kells are the old market towns in the middle; the coast strip from Laytown to Mornington looks to Drogheda; and the north and west — Oldcastle, Nobber, Athboy, Enfield — is rural and quiet. Meath County Council runs no bulky-waste collection. Its three recycling centres (Navan, Kells, Trim) charge a flat gate fee plus a price per item of furniture, and there is no council site at all in east Meath — people in Ashbourne, Ratoath, Dunboyne and the coast are sent to Dunboyne’s private facility or across the county line.

Meath business sits in Navan’s and Ashbourne’s industrial estates, the Kells and Trim business parks, the M3 and M4 corridors around Dunboyne, Dunshaughlin and Enfield, and the agri and equine businesses everywhere else. Access is good; the distance is what we plan around.

Doing it yourself in Meath: what the council offers

Before you ring anyone, here is the honest picture of what Meath County Council will and won’t do for an office clearance. Furniture and bulky items are accepted at Navan Recycling Centre (Civic Amenity Site), Kells Recycling Centre (Civic Amenity Site) and Trim Recycling Centre (Civic Amenity Site), with mattresses charged separately (Per item on top of the gate fee: single mattress €15, double €20, king €25 (Oxigen's own list says €30), mattress topper/duvet €5–€10, single divan €10, double divan €15, 3-seater couch €20, 2-seater €15, corner couch €35, armchair €12, patio table €10, patio chair €5, large carpet/lino roll €25, small roll €15, bag of carpet/lino €5, standard refuse sack of mixed domestic or non-recyclable waste €5, large plastic toy €5, toilet/cistern/basin €5, bath/shower tray €10). Dunboyne Recycling Facility (Thorntons Recycling) does not accept furniture or mattresses at all. Electrical items — fridges, washing machines, TVs, computers — are free to drop at every council site as WEEE, and we take them as part of any job. Navan Recycling Centre (Civic Amenity Site), Kells Recycling Centre (Civic Amenity Site) and Dunboyne Recycling Facility (Thorntons Recycling) are for household waste only — commercial loads are turned away. Watch the vehicle rules: Cars, vans and trailers admitted; vans and trailers pay load-based rates (green waste small van €10, large van €50). Commercial vehicles charged separately (timber €40 per van or €1.50 per pallet, scrap metal €50 per load, cardboard €30 per van, paper €40 per van). Fair-usage policy applies.

Meath County Council — no bulky-waste collection. Meath County Council does not collect household or bulky waste from homes and does not run a bookable bulky-item collection. Bulky household waste is to be brought to the three council recycling centres at Navan, Kells and Trim (run under contract by Oxigen Environmental), where it is charged per item on top of a €2 gate fee, or to Thorntons Dunboyne. Alternatively use an authorised private collector (check the NWCPO permit register). The council does run several free amnesty / drop-off weeks each year: a free mattress drop-off (typically April; e.g. Navan 18 April, Trim 19 April, Thorntons Dunboyne 19 April, Kells 20 April in 2024), a free bulky-furniture week in late July/August (couches, beds, chairs, tables, wardrobes, outdoor furniture, garden equipment, toys, trampolines, flooring, sanitary ware - mattresses excluded) rotating through Navan, Trim, Kells and Dunboyne, and a Halloween anti-bonfire drop-off in late October (furniture suites, beds, divans, bed frames, flooring, duvets, pillows, toys, doors, windows - no mattresses, paint, domestic or green waste). Rules: householders only, Meath residents only (bring photo ID plus a utility bill or driving licence), no commercial customers, and the €2 gate fee still applies. The council said in April 2026 the mattress amnesty and a sofa amnesty would run again in 2026; dates are announced on meath.ie, the council's social media and in the Meath Chronicle, and enquiries go to environment@meathcoco.ie.

Council details are taken from the councils’ own published information and checked periodically; hours and charges change, so confirm with the site before travelling. Where a council hasn’t published a charge we say so rather than guess.

Or we come to you

Set that against a collection from us: no van to borrow, no gate fee, no weighbridge surprise, no two-mattress limit, no carrying it down the stairs yourself, and no question about whether the site will turn your load away. We quote a fixed price from photos, we load it, and it leaves under our waste collection permit (NWCPO-25-13287-01). For a single item the council site can be cheaper if you already have the van and the time; for anything more than a car-boot load, we usually are.

How an office clearance works with us

  1. Walk-through or photos. A floor plan and photos are usually enough; for larger offices we visit and count.
  2. Plan and quote. Date, hours, lift booking, loading bay, what’s reused, what’s shredded. Fixed price.
  3. The clearance. Crew sized for the floor count, furniture dismantled and loaded in order, WEEE kept separate.
  4. Handover. Space swept and photographed. Asset list of WEEE serial numbers on request.

What affects the price in Meath

  • Volume — number of desks is the quickest measure
  • Reuse — good furniture reduces disposal and we pass that on
  • WEEE — priced per item category
  • Building constraints — booked lifts, out-of-hours work, loading-bay windows
  • Shredding — quoted per bag or cabinet through our partner

Meath is a proper run for us — south Meath (Enfield, Dunboyne, Dunshaughlin, Ashbourne) is about an hour from Athy via the M4 and M50, Navan and Trim roughly 80 minutes, and Kells, Oldcastle and the coast around Laytown nearer an hour and three-quarters. We cover it by grouping Meath jobs on set days each week, so a one-off job here is priced as part of a round rather than a special trip. Send photos through the quote form or on WhatsApp and you’ll have a fixed price the same day.

Office Clearance in Meath: frequently asked questions

Can you clear the office outside working hours?

Yes — evenings and weekends are standard for office clearances, especially in Meath buildings with lift and loading-bay rules.

What happens to the computers and monitors?

They go for WEEE recycling through the proper route. We can record serial numbers for your asset register and arrange certified data destruction for hard drives through our partner.

Can the furniture be reused rather than dumped?

Where it’s in good condition, yes, and it reduces your bill. Standard desks and task chairs are the most reusable; bespoke fit-out furniture is less so.

We have years of files. Can you deal with them?

Yes. Files are bagged for confidential shredding through a certified partner, with a certificate for your records, or boxed for archive storage if you prefer.

Do you do dilapidations clearances at the end of a lease?

Yes. Tell us what the lease requires — often “clear and broom-swept” — and we clear to that standard and photograph it for the landlord.

Do you cover business parks across Meath?

All of them — and the town-centre offices above shops, which are the awkward ones. Every town on this page is covered.

Can you take the server rack and the comms cabinet?

Yes. We can note serial numbers, and hard drives can go for certified destruction through our partner if you need the certificate.

Do you dismantle desks and partitions?

Yes — bench desks, screens, partitions and meeting tables are taken apart and loaded. It’s included in the price.

Can the furniture go to a charity or a school?

Where it’s in good condition and someone will take it, we try — Meath schools and community groups often want desks and chairs. It lowers your bill too.

We have a security pass system. How does that work?

Give us a contact who can badge us in and out, or arrange a temporary pass. We’re used to building security and sign-in sheets.

Can you clear an office over a weekend?

Yes — a Saturday clearance is the most common way to do it without disrupting staff, and many Meath buildings prefer it for lift and loading-bay reasons.

Does Meath County Council collect bulky items?

No. Meath County Council does not run a bulky-waste collection. Your options are the council recycling centres listed above — with their charges and limits — or a permitted private collector like us.

How far is Meath from your base?

Meath is a proper run for us — south Meath (Enfield, Dunboyne, Dunshaughlin, Ashbourne) is about an hour from Athy via the M4 and M50, Navan and Trim roughly 80 minutes, and Kells, Oldcastle and the coast around Laytown nearer an hour and three-quarters. We cover it by grouping Meath jobs on set days each week, so a one-off job here is priced as part of a round rather than a special trip.
