Warehouse Clearance by county: DublinKildareWicklowKilkennyLaoisCarlowMeathLouthLongfordOffalyWestmeathWexford

Warehouses are cleared for the same reasons as houses — a lease ends, a business closes or moves, a unit is sold — but the scale is different and so is the weight. Steel racking by the tonne, timber pallets by the hundred, stock that can’t be sold, machinery that can’t be moved, packaging, offcuts and the layer of general waste that settles at the back of any unit over ten years. Louth’s business parks and the older industrial estates on the edges of its towns are familiar ground for us.
We clear with a crew sized to the unit, sort metal, timber, cardboard and WEEE for recycling and scrap credit, and take the general waste under our permit. ManageWaste.ie is operated by Krystal Klean Express Limited, permit NWCPO-25-13287-01, insured for industrial premises. Louth is the furthest county we cover — Drogheda is about an hour and a half from Athy, Ardee and Dunleer a little more, and Dundalk and the Cooley peninsula around two hours. We run Louth jobs in batches, usually one or two days a fortnight, so we can keep the price fair; the trade-off is that we’ll offer you a date rather than a same-week slot.

Full warehouse clearance in Louth
The unit emptied to the lease standard: racking dismantled and removed, pallets and packaging cleared, dead stock loaded, machinery and plant removed where it can be moved by hand or pallet truck, the office and welfare rooms cleared, the yard tidied. Steel racking and scrap metal are weighed in and credited against the job. Timber goes as a separate stream because it’s cheaper to dispose of clean. Cardboard is baled or bagged for recycling. We work with the landlord’s dilapidations schedule in front of us so what’s left is what the lease says should be left. A small unit is a day; a large warehouse is several days and a sequence of loads.
Partial warehouse clearance in Louth
Clearing a bay to make room for new racking; getting rid of dead stock before stocktake; removing the old machinery; collecting the pallet mountain. We do single-stream collections — just the metal, just the timber, just the WEEE — priced for what they are. Where it recurs, we set up a standing collection.
What we take — and what we don’t
- Pallet racking and shelving — dismantled and scrapped or reused
- Pallets, crates and timber packaging
- Written-off and dead stock
- Machinery and plant that can be moved without a crane
- Cardboard, plastic wrap and packaging in bulk
- Office and welfare room contents
- Yard clearance — skips of accumulated rubbish, scrap, old fencing
- WEEE — IT, lighting, electrical plant
Not included: Hazardous and chemical waste (licensed handlers only — we can arrange); Craned machinery removal (we can arrange); Asbestos.
Warehouse Clearance across Co. Louth: every town we cover
We provide a warehouse clearance in all 29 towns and villages below, and at the rural addresses between them. Louth is Ireland’s smallest county but it has two of its biggest towns: Drogheda in the south, straddling the Boyne, and Dundalk in the north under the Cooley mountains, with Ardee, Dunleer and the Castlebellingham villages between them and a run of coastal villages from Baltray up to Carlingford and Omeath. Louth County Council does not collect bulky waste. Its two civic amenity centres at Dundalk and Drogheda (both run by V&W Recycling) charge a €4 entry plus item charges that aren’t published online, and the annual mattress-and-couch amnesty in early September is the only free route for furniture.
Dundalk’s Finnabair and Coes Road estates, Drogheda’s Donore Road and the IDA parks on the M1, Ardee’s smaller units, and the retail along both towns’ main streets make up Louth’s commercial work, plus a lot of cross-border haulage and agri businesses. We plan Louth business clearances as full-day jobs.

Doing it yourself in Louth: what the council offers
Before you ring anyone, here is the honest picture of what Louth County Council will and won’t do for a warehouse clearance. Dundalk Recycling Centre (V&W Civic Amenity Centre) and Drogheda Recycling Centre (V&W Civic Amenity Centre) won’t take construction waste. Electrical items — fridges, washing machines, TVs, computers — are free to drop at every council site as WEEE, and we take them as part of any job. Dundalk Recycling Centre (V&W Civic Amenity Centre) and Drogheda Recycling Centre (V&W Civic Amenity Centre) are for household waste only — commercial loads are turned away. Watch the vehicle rules: Cars and car trailers admitted (trailer charge applies for green waste); no commercial vehicles or commercial waste. Van policy not published - ring ahead.
Louth County Council — no bulky-waste collection. Louth County Council does not collect household waste or bulky items and has no bookable bulky-waste service. It directs residents to the two civic amenity centres in Dundalk and Drogheda, both run by V&W Recycling, where beds, couches, carpet/lino, children's toys and bags of non-recyclable domestic waste are accepted for a charge (ring 042 9329200 or 041 9803900 for the price list - V&W do not publish bulky prices online), or to the nine authorised bulky-waste / skip operators the council lists (e.g. Pronto Waste Clearance & Recycling 087 2912911, Skips on Wheels 083 1552410). Once a year, under the Anti-Dumping Initiative, the council runs a free Mattress & Couch Amnesty, normally over two days in early September: in 2025 it was Wed 3 September 9:30am–5:30pm at the V&W centres in Dundalk and Drogheda and Thu 4 September 9:30am–3:30pm at Kieran & McGee Livestock Sales Yard, Ardee (A92 VP92); in 2024 it was 11–12 September at the same three locations. Only mattresses, sofas and armchairs are taken, maximum 3 items per vehicle, the council covers the disposal cost but the normal €4 entry charge still applies at Dundalk and Drogheda (Ardee is free). The 2025 event took in 2,233 mattresses and 2,124 couches. Dates are announced on louthcoco.ie and in the Dundalk Democrat / Drogheda Independent in August.

Council details are taken from the councils’ own published information and checked periodically; hours and charges change, so confirm with the site before travelling. Where a council hasn’t published a charge we say so rather than guess.
Or we come to you
Set that against a collection from us: no van to borrow, no gate fee, no weighbridge surprise, no two-mattress limit, no carrying it down the stairs yourself, and no question about whether the site will turn your load away. We quote a fixed price from photos, we load it, and it leaves under our waste collection permit (NWCPO-25-13287-01). For a single item the council site can be cheaper if you already have the van and the time; for anything more than a car-boot load, we usually are.
How a warehouse clearance works with us
Site visit. For warehouses we come and look — the weight and the mix decide the price.
Plan. Days, loads, what’s scrapped, what’s reused, what the lease requires. Fixed or capped price.
The clearance. Crew and trucks to match, racking down, streams separated, scrap weighed.
Handover. Unit swept, photographed, scrap credit shown on the invoice.

What affects the price in Louth
Weight — the dominant factor; metal and timber are credited or cheap, mixed waste is dear
Racking — dismantling time versus scrap value
Loads — sequence of truck loads over days
Machinery — hand-moved versus craned
Lease requirements — the standard the unit must be left in

Warehouse Clearance in Louth: frequently asked questions
Do you credit scrap metal?
Yes. Racking, steel and other metal is weighed in and credited against the clearance. On a racked-out unit it can cover a meaningful part of the cost.
Can you dismantle pallet racking?
Yes, safely and in order. Tell us the bays and height and we’ll size the crew.
What about machinery?
Anything that moves by hand or pallet truck, we take. Heavier plant we arrange with a crane or specialist mover.
Can you meet the landlord’s dilapidations schedule?
Yes — send it to us and we clear to it, photographing the unit at the end for both sides.
Do you work weekends?
Yes, and for busy estates it’s often easier — fewer trucks about, more room at the shutter.
Which industrial areas of Louth do you cover?
All of them — every business park and estate around the towns on this page.
Do you need a forklift on site?
It helps and we’ll use yours if it’s available and we’re authorised. Otherwise we bring pallet trucks and size the crew to suit.
Can you take the mezzanine floor?
Mezzanine dismantling is structural work — we can arrange it with a specialist and clear what comes down.
What about dead stock that has to be destroyed?
We can arrange witnessed destruction with a certificate where a brand or an insurer requires it.
Can you clear the yard as well as the unit?
Yes — skips of accumulated rubbish, scrap, old fencing, pallets and weeds. Yard clearances are often half the job.
Do you work on industrial estates across Louth?
All of them. Estate security, gate hours and shared yards are normal for us; tell us the estate and we’ll plan the access.
Does Louth County Council collect bulky items?
No. Louth County Council does not run a bulky-waste collection. Your options are the council recycling centres listed above — with their charges and limits — or a permitted private collector like us.
How far is Louth from your base?
Louth is the furthest county we cover — Drogheda is about an hour and a half from Athy, Ardee and Dunleer a little more, and Dundalk and the Cooley peninsula around two hours. We run Louth jobs in batches, usually one or two days a fortnight, so we can keep the price fair; the trade-off is that we’ll offer you a date rather than a same-week slot.
